Cami Jane Photography bio picture

Hey there, love birds.

Welcome to my blog!  Here, you will get a glimpse of me- my photography, my thoughts, and anything else that's been on my heart.

What started off as a hobby turned into a passion.  I love meeting people, hearing their story & using my camera to capture their heart in a single moment.  I am truly blessed to be doing something that I love so much.

I will capture memories that you will remember for a lifetime.  I care not only about my photos, but the people in it.  When you're laughing, I'll be laughing along with you.  When you're reading your vows, I'll be crying with you (but don't worry- I'll still be taking photos the whole time!).  My passion for people and for photography continues to grow exponentially.  I don't expect it to slow down anytime soon!

I am based in Southern Orange County, but my passport gets along well with my camera and they love to travel together! If you are interested in allowing me to capture your memories, please fill out a contact form.

JNP Studios Workshop

I had the opportunity to attend my first workshop and can I just say “WOW”?! It was taught by Jeff from JNP Studios and Eliesa from Photogen-Inc. I learned so much that day, both about photography and business. I cannot wait to apply the amazing lessons I learned!

Here are some shots I took that day of Jared and Christy. I was so stoked to be able to use Jeff’s tilt-shift lens!

Jeff & Eliesa- thank you for such a wonderful, fun day!

Orange County Engagement Session: {Melisa & Jason}

Melisa and Jason are high school sweethearts and, after six years together, decided to tie the knot!  I first met them a few weeks ago at a consultation meeting.  After going over all the wedding day details, they said to me, “We’ve been together for six years.  We’re not going to get stressed out planning our wedding.  We love each other and we’re going to have fun celebrating with our friends and family.”  I love that about them.

I met up with these two lovebirds in San Juan Capistrano for their engagement session.  The time I spent with them was so fun-filled and love-filled.  I simply cannot wait to shoot their wedding in May!

Miss Erin Brady

I have a confession to make: I’m a stalker. A blog stalker, that is. There are several blogs on my Google Reader I consistently read, but have yet to leave a comment or even let the writer know I enjoy their blog.

I’ve blog-stalked Erin for two years now. Both her personal blog and her fashion blog are two of my favorites. She writes in such a witty, humorous way that actually makes me laugh out loud (not in the fake “LOL” way. I actually laugh!). Well, after two years of blog stalking, I decided to finally e-introduce myself to Erin and we set up a photo session.

It was so lovely hanging out with Erin in the 3-D world. We started off our session the right way and stopped at Starbucks. Then, it was photo time:

My brother // Sid’s Tattoo Parlor

I love my brother.  I love him a LOT.  He is someone who is a constant source of encouragement, love, and compassion.  Recently, he launched his own blog- The Gospel for OC. He created this blog to serve as a place to collect and share thoughts on God, theology, church, culture and life.  I am so proud of all he has (and will) accomplish.  Words simply cannot express how much I love my big brother!

I took some photos of Chris over the holiday weekend.  Here are some quick backyard portraits:

My Christmas gift to Chris was a new tattoo. I went with him to Sid’s Tattoo Parlor to document it. I highly recommend going to Sid’s- the place is impeccably clean and the artists constantly quote lines from The Hangover. I couldn’t ask for anything better.

(Note: Both of our tattoos were done by Los. He was so great to work with and is incredibly talented at what he does.)

That morning, I heard a sermon at church that referenced Romans 5:20. It caused me to look at my relationship with God in a completely different light. That verse became etched in my mind and while Chris was getting inked, I decided it was time to get my first tattoo.

If you couldn’t tell, we had quite a fun time.  I’m excited to experiment more with a studio set-up!

Josh + Jessica {couple session}

There’s something so refreshing about meeting high school sweet hearts who get married. Well, Josh and Jessica are elementary school sweethearts. My heart melted when I heard that and it melted even more when I met them.  They are two of the nicest, genuine, and loving people I have ever met.  It was such a joy to be around them and document their love.

Josh and Jessica have been married for three years and wanted to have a session with me to update their photo albums.  I thought this was a great idea.  I think often times, people feel like they can’t get photos taken unless there’s a special occasion; however, I believe that simply wanting them taken is good enough!  Having photos of you and your loved one(s) is a priceless investment that everyone should have.

Josh and Jessica- it was a pleasure being a first-hand witness to  your unconditional love for one another.  Enjoy!

(Note: special thanks to Natasha Najand who tagged along and was a great assistant!)

The Bailey Family… 1-2-3-4, tell me that you love me more.

The Bailey family has four boys, all under the age of six. Yes…four.  And they are all so adorably cute.  Win x4!

Here are the sweet boys:
big brother Bryce and his triplet brothers- Aiden, Brandon & Andrew.

Tanya and Chris (aka Mom and Dad) told me the last time just the two of them got photos taken was back when they got engaged. I was not okay with that and immediately told them things were about to change.

And some family shots…

The sweetest moment for me was when we wrapped up the shoot and the boys insisted on taking a picture with me. I’m almost certain my heart exploded when they said that. :)

Tanya and Chris- thank you for allowing me to capture your family’s sweet memories!

WIth love,

Carolyn + Steve

Sign of a successful photo shoot: feeling like you’re hanging out with friends more than being hired to take photos. Carolyn and Steve- thanks for such a great time!

Shake it like a polaroid pikcha

Two of my greatest loves are my iphone and the ShakeItPhoto app. These two do just fine together and allow my DSLR to have a break.
